01 / POSITION

A publication about the distinction between a source and a claim.

Axis & Archive is a design prototype for an independent journal of museum architecture and material culture. Its subject is the Grand Egyptian Museum, but its method is deliberately wider: inspect the building, the interpretive frame, the archaeological landscape and the limits of an available record without pretending those categories are interchangeable.

02 / METHOD

Evidence is named before analysis begins.

Current visitor operations are traced to GEM’s own live channels. Architectural statements are attributed to published project documentation. Heritage context is linked to UNESCO’s description of the Giza landscape. These sources establish a basis; they do not eliminate questions of curatorial choice, historical interpretation or public access.

Axis & Archive does not manufacture credentials, fieldwork, interviews or on-site experiences. “Editorial team” identifies a transparent editorial byline, not a fictional authority.

03 / CORRECTION PATH

Arguments remain revisable.

Send a sourced correction, a rights concern, an attribution update or a broken-link report through Contact. Material corrections should be marked in the affected page once a production editorial workflow is connected. This prototype does not receive messages, sell services or collect a subscriber list.

04 / INDEPENDENCE

This website is an independent informational resource. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Grand Egyptian Museum, its management, Egyptian government agencies, tourism authorities, ticketing providers, or tour operators. Historical, collection, and operational information is provided for general informational purposes and may change. Visitors should confirm time-sensitive details through the relevant official GEM and government channels before travelling.
